Margaret Hastwell ♀ is born to Michael Hastwell ♂ in Mallerstang, England.
Female (♀)
Margaret's husband, James, was a blacksmith in Outhgill, England. Prior to their marriage, Margaret was in service at Deep Gill Farm, just over a mile away from Outhgill, England.
In 1791, a decline in trade caused by the French Revolution, caused James and Margaret (who was pregnant at the time) to move their family to London, England.
The family settled first in Gilbert Street shortly after arriving in London, moving to Jacob's Well Mews in about 1779 and then to 18 Weymouth Street in the summer of 1809.
In London, James became a confessed member of a Sandemanian congregation. It's therefore possible that Margaret had to cater for one or more of the weekly re-enactments of the Last Supper that confessed members participated in.
